    A monoplane comes in to land at the airport. The plane is being flown by New Zealand born aviator Jean Batten and is at the end of a flight from Britain to Australia. She has broken the solo flight record.

    N.B. I think this flight took place in 1937.

    This clip shows Jean Batten arriving at Kingsford-Smith Aerodrome on 13 October 1936.

    Her aircraft is a Percival Gull, Reg. No. G-ADPR.
