I believe this is either the first flight or an early flight of the Handley Page Jetstream. The first flight was 18th August 1967.

This flight is aircraft registered G-ATXH and took place from the Handley Page factory at Radlett airfield. Radlett was in Hertfordshire and was the manufacturing base of Handley Page aircraft from 1929 until early 1970.

The Jetstream was a 12 seat / 6 stretcher cases multi purpose aircraft but mainly designed for the American feeder airliner market. The United States Airforce ordered 11

The company ran into financial problems and production was delayed. The USAF cancelled their order citing delays in delivery. Handley Page delivered 36 aircraft and ceased production when they went bankrupt in 1970

The Jetstream was brought by Scottish Aviation at Prestwick Airport, Ayrshire. Updated versions of the aircraft were produced and the Jetstream 31 and 41 became a commercial success with sales around the world.

G-ATXH is in South Yorkshire Air museum
