    Memorial Service for British field marshal and statesman Lord Horatio Herbert Kitchener; who drowned when his boat was sunk by a German mine; King George V and Queen Mary attend. Opens with GV exterior St. Paul's; with an awning all the way up the steps. Horse-drawn open carriage drives up. King & Queen descend from carriage and start up steps. CU horses waiting. People under awning. The tall Queen Mary getting back into the carriage; followed by King George. Fairly close shot of the King & Queen; and the coachmen on the back; as they drive by; with two officers on horseback riding close behind. Kitchener had had a long Army career; serving in the Sudan; in the Boer War; etc. In World War One he was responsible for vastly increasing the size of the British Army. Royalty; ceremonies; funerals; death.
