Knights of Order of St. John; one of the religious/military groups dating back to the Crusades; hold a procession; they are on the way to a thanksgiving service for the capture of Jerusalem; an end to centuries of Turkish rule. Religion; ritual. Men marching in place.

    A procession coming out of a door: an old man in black robe carrying some staff; followed by a priest carrying a cross; a group of young boys in striped robes and flat mortarboard hats; more men in long white smocks.

    CU of procession passing; with boys and men all singing; looking at written music. Then a scene with men in military uniforms; one carrying a large flag of 3 stripes. Next come some old men in capes with big stars (like 4 V's with points together). A few different shots of these same people. Priests disappear into a building. World War One.
