Various shots show girls working in a Kensington laboratory, making tests on locusts to discover an effective poison against them. Several shots of locusts in tanks and jars. C/Us of locusts (yuk!), fixing us with their beady eyes.

So that the locusts remain healthy and so behave as they would in the wild, they are attached by wires to a ring so that they can fly around at great speed. Commentator describes it as a "locust funfair". It looks like a gruesome merry-go-round or mobile.
