Start of the FA (Football Association) Cup semi-finals between Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) and Manchester City. GV. Tottenham kicking off from left to right, Spurs in white shirts and black shorts. They kick off and come down field towards camera to start an attack on the left wing. GV. Massed crowd. GV. Tottenham have been awarded a corner on the left wing and their man is just about to take it. He kicks and the ball goes into the centre where Roy Paul and a Spurs man both jump to head, but they both miss it and it goes out to Dave Dunmore. He steadies himself and shoots. Ball goes through a mass of players and it misses Bert Trautmann. Bill Leivers is standing on the goal-line. He kicks away what would be a certain goal. He gets it away and Len Duquemin, who is standing nearby, is unlucky not to have collected it and banged it back in. It goes upfield where Barnes kicks it up to Bobby Johnstone who runs on with the ball to clear the situation. GV. Massed crowd. GV. City on the attack. Jackie Dyson trying to break through with the ball but is tackled by Roy Clarke of Spurs. The ball runs to Tony Marchi who kicks it away, but it is a free kick to City. GV. Massed crowd. GV. City about to take a free kick. A City man runs forward to take the kick but he just runs past the ball and a colleague runs up behind him and takes it, pushing it out to the left wing where Clarke runs in and tries a shot. It goes over the bar. SCU. Spectator holds his hand up to his head in despair. LV. City attacking down the left wing, the ball is centred from the left wing. GV. Spurs goal area, the ball is coming across from the left wing. Johnstone is running into the goal area and heads it into the goal. Ball in net. Manchester City 1 - Spurs 0. Players run up field congratulating. GV. Cheering crowd. Half time. SV. Cheering crowds. GV. City goal area, Spurs on the attack. The Spurs have been awarded a corner on the right wing. It is taken and a Spurs player heads it towards goal. SV. Ball coming towards City goal from the header, but Bert Trautmann tips it over the bar. It goes for corner on right wing. GV. Corner being taken.

Ball is kicked into the City goal area, but Barnes and Ewing are there to get it away to safety where it is kicked upfield. GV. City on the attack. City player coming in with the ball, he tries a shot but it is partially blocked and Reynolds saves. He picks up the ball, bounces it and kicks upfield. SV. Trautmann waiting in his goal. GV. Spurs on the attack. Ball goes out on the right wing and is crossed from the right wing into the City goal mouth. Trautmann starts to come out of his goal as the ball is in the air. SV. City goal area. Trautman has come out, he jumps and pulls the ball down. It falls at the feet of George Robb but he loses it and a City man kicks it away. Camera pans with the ball going upfield. A Spurs man collects it but is robbed of the ball by a City man who takes it away upfield.
