    GV Large crane on the front at Sandgate. LS Speedboat being lifted by crane. LS Ditto, pan to other speedboats on beach waiting to launch on the mass Cross Channel Ski Race. SV One of the boats is launched. SV and CU 14 year-old Anne Stephens of Gosfield Ski Club with team members, Gordon Corrigan and Jeremy Chilworth. (2 shots). LV Another boat is launched. CU Man takes picture. GV As the speedboats start away on their cross channel trip. LV Skier going through rough water. (3 shots). LV Crowd waiting at Sandgate. CU Man looking through binoculars. LS A light plane flies over the skier and boat. LV As first boat comes in, No.28. GV Crowd applaud. SV The winning team - Ken Boardman, his son John, Peter Holmes, Terry Sleap and Jim Flynn (driving) - won in a 14 foot Fletcher. (They belong to Varne Ski Club, Greatstone). MS No. 15 coming in second, lets go of his skis.

    Note: Date on original record: 18/09/1966. Contemporary news clipping says the boats turned around a moored trawler 3 miles off Cap Gris Nez.
