Labour Day parades and speeches at Hyde Park.
Item title reads: "May Day. Glorious sunshine-huge crowds and a feast of oratory-feature of 1927's great labour demonstration."
Hyde Park, London
Celebrations for Labour Day in Hyde Park. It looks like a glorious sunny day. There is a parade with people carrying pennants and union flags, such as the Young Labour League. Some are on floats or horse drawn carts. The crowd in Hyde Park mill about. Speakers stand on small platforms, possibly soap boxes? Smoke is seen rising from pipes etc. in the crowd as they listen. One speaker fiercely shakes his fist, speaking with some fervour.
Note: We have no idea of his politics but the last speaker was certainly telling them what he had told them.
