Melita Real meets estranged 13 year old daughter, distressed at the meeting in police station.
Melita Real born with Yugoslav nationality, married in United States for several years, told a TV 'Queen of the Day' quiz of the dramatic story of her lost child. 14 years ago when she was 19 years old and working in Germany in a plant she met a 17 year old man Karl Ollinge and they were soon engaged to be married. Karl was taken in the German army and sent to the Russian front while Melita was put in a work camp by German authorities. She says she was taken to a private house to have her child whom she never saw and who died at birth according to what she was told. Having heard lately through her brother that her daughter really lived and had been brought up by foster-parents living in Saar, she told her story and won a trip to Europe as 'Queen of the Day'. Melita arrived to photographers and drove to Lorraine where she met her family, then Karl Ollinger and then went to Mrs Ferry's home (her daughter's foster parents). Her daughter Ursula now 13 years in Wehrden a small village near Volkingen in Saar. She arrives to claim her lost daughter. Ursula refused to kiss her mother.
Various shots of Melita Real arriving at airport, being greeted by photographers and reporters, from there she goes to see her friends and relations, whom she has not seen for a long time, and then on to see her daughter who has been brought up by foster parents, Melita wants to claim the child, but there is a little trouble about this, with which the matter is taken up with the police.
