Cuts from newsreel 47/23 - Moscow Conference, Russia.

Titles read: 'BEVIN IN MOSCOW' (newsreel item).

General shots of Moscow. There is some commentary on soundtrack but several cuts so it jumps about a bit.

British Foreign Minister Ernest Bevin arrives at the railway station and is greeted by officials. Natural sound as he says "We will spend the days ahead of us in trying to make a sound peace which will prevent any future aggression and let the whole world live in security".

Exterior and interior shots of the Pilot's Club where the conference is to be held.

General George Marshall, American Secretary of State, arrives (at conference venue?) with US Ambassador to Russia, Walter Bedell Smith. French Foreign Minister Georges Bidault arrives, Vyacheslav Molotov and Vyshinsky arrive. Quick shots of the delegates chatting before the start of the conference. There are lots of cuts in this sequence.

Apart from the section of Bevin's speech, there is not any footage here that does not appear in UN 1814 A, B, C or D.
