    It is fantastic for me to see the Pathe' newsreel again after 61 years. Yes it was my mother who was presented to Princess Elizabeth on that day as the winner of the Cooking Competition. Here in Australia, where she spent the last 14 years of her life, dying in 1978. leaving a new generation of 40 great grand children. Louise Anderson, one of her grand children is putting together the history of Hilda Upton and I am sure that there is a story for British Pathe' to carry through. Please note that there is a correction needed in the description, it should read Mrs Upton of Loughborough, not of llford. There is also an item of interest, that my eldest sister (alive) Irene Taylor, nee Upton has just celebrated her Diamond Wedding here in Australia, and as fact was born the same year, same month, same day as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11. Rene and her husband Aelred received the letter from the Queen congratulating them on their achievement 60 years married. If someone would like to correspond…
