Title: "MUMMERS' PARADE. Thousands of comic costumes at Quaker City's gorgeous Annual Festival".
L/S of parade of people in fancy dress dancing down a wide city street. M/S of a procession of people dressed as convicts with pretend balls and chains. L/S of a group of people in elaborate head-dresses holding a large banner horizontally. M/S of a person wearing an enormous head-dress and cloak stretched out on wire (looks like a costume from the Notting Hill Carnival!).
Intertitle: " ... and in Pasadena - the City of Roses - the Annual Festival is a rare Pageantry of Beauty".
M/S of crowds standing on either side of a palm tree lined street, girls dressed in white dressed pass on a carnival float decorated with greenery. M/S of another float passing, this time covered in flowers, men and women in white costumes carrying staffs walk alongside. M/S of a woman in white waving from the front of another float decorated in leaves. Various shots of an excellent elephant shaped float made from flowers; it is mechanised so the trunk, ears and legs move! The crowd applaud as this brilliant creation passes.
