L/S of Gay Leader, whose father is race horse trainer Harvey Leader. She is training a horse by walking it round in circles, C/U of Gay with the reins in her hand.

M/S of two women jockeys looking at a piece of paper and talking, one of them points, the other one is holding a mirror and starts putting on her lipstick. The narrator explains they are getting ready for the Newmarket Town Plate, men are allowed to ride in it but it is usually given over to the women.
