General view of the Paris Opera House, France, at night. Footmen stand on the stairs. Debs arrive for the Debutantes' Ball. The Begum (glamorous widow of the old Aga Khan) arrives. Debs walk across the stage led by dancer Jacques Chaset. The debs curtsey and walk down stairs as the Begum watches. The debs look almost identical in beehives, white dresses and tiaras. Some of the girls with towering hairdos and ornate jewellery come down the stairs, clad in black tights, formfitting black jerseys and feather-trimmed capes.

Various shots of an automatic 'waiter' service in a Herten restaurant. Diners write their order on a piece of paper, put it in a little tube and drop it onto a moving conveyor belt running around the restaurant. Drinks are prepared by staff then put on little trucks that take them to the appropriate table. A waitress leans against a wall, watching the proceedings and shaking her head. As a meal arrives on the automatic server and woman takes it off.

A woman trainer stands with a baby chimp (or gorilla?) in his cage and makes him clap his hands. A girl in a spangled showgirl costume does the twist (natural sound) while a chimpanzee stands opposite her and does the same (sort of). The woman trainer is seen with another chimp, talking to her in Italian. When she asks the chimp to give her a kiss she does so. The woman chatters on and the chimp says "Mama" several times then gives her another kiss. Seriously weird!
