    London. M/S of Prince Farouk, heir to the Egyptian throne, walking down some steps with officials, he is preparing to enter the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich. M/S of him with officials. M/S as he walks along, he salutes and chats before getting into the car.

    Caldbeck, Cumbria. L/S of people gathered with hounds to celebrate John Peel day. John Woodcock Graves wrote the song in this village. M/S as hounds are let out of a van, L/S of countryside. Various shots as people and hounds walk and run along through the village. M/S as a huntsman holds up a dead fox. M/S as they all take a drink.

    Sydney, Australia. L/S of a huge fire at a wool factory which destroys thousands of fleeces. Various shots of the burning building with firemen tackling the blaze. M/S as a wall collapses.

    London. Annual Challenge Cup for London's fire brigades. Various shots as they attach a hose, run with it, start the pumps and knock down the target as quickly as possible. Dockhead win and the hoses are rolled up again. M/S of a man making a speech and presenting them with the Cup.

    Berlin, Germany. M/S of clock tower. Various shots of outdoor gathering, people sit around a table and eat. M/S of an elderly lady stood up. The idea is to help the winter distress fund by foregoing Sunday lunch to come here and buy pea soup and sausages instead. Various shots as it is dished out. M/S of spaniel begging. Various shots as adults and children eat.

    Portland, Dorset. M/S as Yorkshire regiment the Green Howards Troop the Colour across the parade ground to commemorate their part in the 1854 battle of Alma. M/S as the Colour is handed over. Various shots of the drums which are the original ones from the battle. Various shots as they march along at the barracks. M/S of General Sir Edward Bulfin, Colonel of the regiment, taking the salute. M/S of the soldiers marching past.
