    Launching of HMS Deptford at Chatham, Kent. Various shots of ship being launched. Launching is unconventional - ship is in dry dock which is then flooded till vessel floats. Mayoress of Deptford, Mrs. J. E. Pearson smashes bottle against hull to christen her.

    Scottish Trawler Disaster at Eyemouth, nr. Berwick-upon-Tweed, Scotland. Various shots of enormous waves lashing sea front of fishing village. A fishing boat - 'Young Archie' - has sunk in bad weather in the harbour.

    King's Yacht at Gosport, Hampshire. Various shots of Royal Yacht 'Britannia'. The King's racing yacht has been towed from East Cowes' home to have modernising refit by Mr Charles Nicholson (designer of yacht 'Endeavour').

    Cruft's Dog Show, London. Various panning shots of Agricultural Hall, filled with pedigree dogs and their owners. Various C/Us of dogs: Poodles, Irish Water Spaniels, Old English Sheep Dogs, Pugs and Samoyeds.

    Candlemas Football Game, Jedburgh, Scotland. Traditional ball game played by residence of Scottish village. Various shots shopkeepers boarding up shop windows. A man covered bulbs of street lamps. A man throws a ball into a crowd - there is a scramble to get it.

    Note: section about departure of M. Flandin is missing. AH 2001.
