    Birmingham, West Midlands. M/S of a clock tower, the camera pans down it. M/S as firemen stand to attention. M/S as Prince George, Duke of Kent, and the mayor walk along and into the new fire station which he is about to open. Various shots as firemen line up outside to receive their long service medals from the Duke. M/S as his car drives off.

    Clydebank, Scotland. L/S of the liner "Queen Mary", the camera pans down it. M/S as a man connects the big oil pipes to the ship, M/S of the pipes running to the tanker. Oil is being pumped onboard for the next journey. Various shots of the pipes running into the ship.

    Croydon Aerodrome, London. M/S as all-metal monoplane brings German football team to Britain. Various shots as they emerge from the plane. M/S of swastika on the tail fin. M/S as more of the team get off. M/S of them posing together with the German Ambassador, Dr Von Hoesch, Sir Frederick Wall, and German sports minister who has come with them.

    Edinburgh, Scotland. M/S as Knights of the Thistle walk along in their robes for service at St. Giles cathedral. M/S as they enter.

    Faversham, Kent. Various shots of "Lady Stella" motor coaster, people watch from the dock. M/S as a woman launches the ship, and engineers knocks the bricks away underneath. L/S as ship slides into the water and people cheer.

    London. M/S as Lord Mayor Stephen Killik and Hore Belisha walk along preceded by Mace and Sword. They walk down to open King William Street subway. Various shots of them outside. The Lord Mayor gets in his carriage and drives away.
