Intertitle - 'Germany.' M/S of the Hindenburg ( Hindenberg ) airship hovering over the ground, it is bringing home boxer Max Schmeling. A group of people wait, his wife, actress Anny Ondra is among them. She gets excited and looks through her binoculars. M/S as Schmeling waves out of the windows. M/S as the couple walk along surrounded by people. M/S as they drive off in a car, people line the routes and cheer. Policemen hold back the crowds. Various shots as Schmeling stands on a balcony while huge crowds wave and cheer below him.
Intertitle - 'Henley.' (Oxfordshire). M/S of people in boats crowding the river at the Henley Regatta. M/S as Pembroke College row against Thames Rowing Club and win. A flag in waved. M/S of the crowd watching. M/S as Selwyn College row against Westminster Bank who win. Various shots as the different teams row, a man rides along river bank on a bicycle shouting through a megaphone.
Intertitle - 'Wimbledon.' (London). M/S of spectators at the semi-finals of Wimbledon, the camera pans across to show players Bunny Austin and Von Cramm on the court. M/S of Austin playing. M/S of Von Cramm serving and playing. Austin throws his racquet down when he loses and walks up to the net to shake hands, M/S of people applauding. M/S of Fred Perry playing Donald Budge in the other semi-final. Good M/S of Perry playing, spectators watch and applaud. Budge serves and plays. Perry eventually wins and jumps over the net to shake Budge's hand.
Intertitle - 'Geneva.' (Switzerland). M/S of Haile Selassie walking slowly up the steps at the League of Nations. M/S of him starting to make a speech. Italian journalists start shouting and jeering so he can't be heard. He stands quietly for a few minutes. M/S as he finally makes his speech as people look on. He walks down the steps after he has finished
Intertitle - 'London.' M/S as a train pulls into Victoria station. The Rumanian (Romanian) patriarch Miron Cristea steps off it. M/S as he poses for cameras. M/S as the camera pans down Westminster Abbey, M/S as Cristea walks along to lay a wreath on tomb of unknown warrior. M/S of people watching through railings, M/S of the group at the door. People stand around and look. M/S as his car drives away to Lambeth Palace.
Intertitle 'Rumania.' (Romania). M/S of a lady stood in a playing field. Various C/Us of her 11 sons who have formed a football team, M/S as she leads them out onto the pitch. C/U of their father.
