    Title and action: "While the moulds are being arranged great rolls of paper are being taken down to the room beneath the printing presses". "The ends of each roll are cut into points and covered with gum so that they will stick onto the end of the reel in front and make a continuous roll of paper." "The presses are started by pressing a button" The presses roll into action, pan round the room with workment and see newspapers start to emerge. CU the machinery, and paper speeding through the rollers. Title: "The presses slow down so that the next roll of paper can join on to the end of the one that has been used up". "The papers go up through the ceiling into the packing room above." "Here the papers are packed and addressed to newspaper-sellers all over the country." The huge packing room with hundreds of man wrapping up stacks of papers with brown paper and string. The packs go down a conveyorbelt, with destination addresses showing; Glasgow, Halifax, Burnley, Ipswich, Plymouth... The papers are loaded into vans. MS Pan down the side of a Daily Mail truck. "The great London stations are desserted by passengers between two and three in the morning when the newspaper vans arrive." "Soon the station is thronged with newspaper vans and porters unloading the papers and sorting them into the right railway vans." "3am to the second" CU the train wheels. WS the train pulls out of the station. "in a few hours the papers are being read all over the country". Shots of the public at home and work reading the newspaper with titles superimposed in turn: London, Lancashire, Cornwall, Wales, Glasgow. CU the newspapers. "And before the morning papers have been read, the unsleeping printing presses of Fleet Street have turned out the first edition of the evening papers."
