    C/U of man's hands playing piano, tilt up to show sheet of music. M/S of row of men engraving zinc or pewter sheets with music. C/U of various tools. C/U of man's hands engraving music lines and bars onto metal sheet. The man then uses a mallet and steel punches to create notes. Extreme C/U of man engraving 'slurs' (curved lines that bunch notes together). C/U of completes sheet being polished.

    C/U of finished music sheet. Panning C/U of men rubbing ink onto engraved zinc sheets. The sheet of paper is then placed over zinc platter and lithographic stone is rolled over it. M/S of factory floor of the printers - men inking sheets and turning handle that rolls lithographic stone. C/U of man's hands carefully lifting the first proof sheet from under the stone.
