    Dramatised sequence showing bizarre American laws: a girl measures her hat pin to make sure it's the legal length of half an inch, a girl sits on her boyfriends knee with a cushion between them, a girl in a negligee weighs her clothes to check if they meet the statuary weight of 3 lbs. C/U of an illegal untied boot lace.

    Various animated cartoons showing weird English laws: a man threatens another man with the police and is arrested for blackmail, a man asks a burglar who has just robbed him for a cut of the money and is arrested, a naked man receives 6 months in prison but a naked girl strolls past a policeman without fear of arrest.

    M/S of lawyer on the phone reassuring his client: "Oh don't you worry - they can't lock you up for that!". C/U of man in prison cell: "Whaddya mean? I'm phoning from gaol".
