  • Description

Athletics next, and start of men's 10,000 metres final. Various close ups of lead runners, then nice close up Poland's Janusz Kusocinski as he races away to win the gold medal, looking behind him every few metres as he finishes. Lovely long interview, with audio, with a nervous looking Kusocinksi, in Polish. Long shot spectators standing to watch action ,then sitting again. Long shot of spectators standing to watch action, though it isn't clear what, then slowly sitting down again.
Very nice interview with Canada's Duncan McNaughton, who won the gold medal in the men's high jump, in which he says 'Four of us tied at 6'5? and five eighths, and in the jump off I was fortunate enough to win the jump. Of course I feel very happy, as anyone would under these circumstances. Thank you' then he leaves with a smile. Nice smiling interview with USA's Leo Sexton, who won the gold medal in the shot put, in which he says 'Well folks, it sure was a great kick today to be able to go out there in the field today and be able to take that shot put championship for the United States. Thank you' then he gives a nice smile to the crowd.
Athletics action next, and the start of men's distance race, then nice long shot of lead runners. Audio is of spectators chanting 'U-S-A, A-M-E-R-I-C-A'.
