Club members at a parachute school practice fall techniques then two perform their first jump.
Scenes at the British Parachute School at Fairoaks Aerodrome. Narrator tells the history of the club which has 7 women amongst its membership of 36.
We see some of the members practising their fall technique. C/U of one of the female members being told how to fall properly. M/S of three members practising how to pack a parachute. C/Us of some of the members. Some wear jump-suits, others nice cardigans and ties. C/U of a female member putting on a helmet. She looks rather glam with red lipstick and a fake fur coat. C/U of man putting on a harness.
L/S of three club members walking towards planes. Their parachutes are checked. Narrator observes how some people do this to conquer their fear of heights (not me!) Planes take off. Aerial shots of countryside and air to air shots of planes. Shots inside plane of pilot and parachutist. Man jumps and his chute opens. Aerial shot of the parachutist flying over countryside. Low angle shot of the parachutist returning to the ground whilst club members watch. C/U of man shouting through a megaphone. C/U of smiling parachutist - it is one of the girls. The parachute is collected up and secured. Another parachutist lands and scoops up his parachute. Narrator implies that for both of them it is their first jump.
