I was 3 years old when we moved to Pegasus Village and remember playing in the play room with the Brogan boys.
Unfortunately my mum contracted tuberculosis and my sister and I went into an officers residential nursery for 6 months while she recuperated
My dad named our caravan ‘Yea Olde 5 Bar Ranch’ and he built a fence around the garden made with five lines of Silver Birch. He also built a small swimming pool in the garden and lots of the children used to visit us quite a bit - I wonder why
I do have a few photographs
When we started school the Army transported the children in the back of an Army lorry
