Bessans, France.

LS Snow covered mountain village street with some old people in black walking along. CU Sign of name of village "Bessans", in French Alps. VS In room of bar people are gathered for birthday celebrations of Mrs Marianne Boniface, who is 100 years old. Going round the room we see faces of other aged wrinkled men and women who live in the village. VS Around village with the aged people all over 80 doing their usual daily jobs and pastimes, ie fishing, blacksmithing, spinning, and wood sawing. Old people walking to church.
