C/U of woman taking a leaf out of water (presumably one which has been immersed for some time). She rubs the leaf then puts it into another bowl of water. "Then clean off the leaf matter from the membrane. (A simple job, but use a delicate touch!)" C/U of woman's hands as she lays the leaves out on a plate and rubs away at them. There seems to be water on the plate too. She gradually rubs away all the leaf matter to leave a skeleton leaf.

"After the membrane is clear - it may be soaked in chloride of lime for a couple of days - this will whiten it - " C/U of woman placing white leaf membranes on a dark piece of card. She folds the card and presses it down. C/U of leaves lying on the dark card. Woman sticks the leaves onto a dark background to make a picture. "When dry, these phantom leaves may be used in many ways - artistic table decorations, under glass tops, etc." C/U of leaf membrane. C/U of table top with leaves under the glass.
