    1) UN294A "The Red Army in 1940. Marshal Timoshenko watching his troops in action and talking to them after the operations. May Day parade through Red Square in 1940 before Stalin and Molotov." Soldier signals for guns to fire. Various shots of artillery being fired. Explosions. Russian officers stand amongst fir trees watching the gunfire. Shot from low in the dug out. Low angle shot of officers - including Timoshenko. Soldiers holding rifles run across a large expanse of land following a tank. Looking down from a hill, tanks, explosions, soldier running along holding guns and dragging artillery. Soldier fires a machine gun - we see him from behind. Soldiers advance. Officers talk tactics. Various shots of tanks and soldiers in action. Low angle C/U of soldier giving the order to fire. Artillery loaded and fired. Soldier runs along and either steps on a mine or is hit by a shell as there is an explosion by his feet and he is presumably killed. More shots of manoeuvres. C/Us of machine guns being fired.     ii) UN291A "The Red Army in 1940. Russians in the field building tank traps and barricades and laying fields of mines. Marshal Timoshenko watching." Timoshenko talks to troops in the field. He pulls a leafy branch towards himself - presumably as camouflage in a trench. M/S of two Russian soldiers placing a box in an underground tunnel. Two soldiers work together planting what are presumably mines or tank traps. Various shots of these devices being buried. Marshal Timoshenko walks in a wooded area where trees are being felled. Various shots of artillery being set up. Timoshenko walks along and surveys the battle area. Barbed wire is wound around the felled tree trunks. Men prepare to push a cannon closer to their barricade. Aircraft are seen in the sky.
