The inhabitants of Monterotondo keep up an old tradition of handing over the statue of their protector St. Anthony from one patron to another.
L/S street in Monterotondo. Various shots as children enter the house of the man who has been patron for the past year, lanterns and greenery encircle the door. C/U as a little girl kisses the statue. C/U's horses decorated with flowers and bows, they are blessed. Various shots as patron leaves house, woman kisses statue. The horses canter through the streets. M/S and C/U of the patron carrying the statue at head of procession. C/U as the new patron receives statue inside church. M/S as he knocks on door and is let in.
