Hess's plane, when it is seen, is a Messerschmitt Bf 110D.

...and that previous footage is great because of rarity of Sea Fire landing/takeoffs...along with some glimpses of Fire Fly take offs...and deck crowding before angled decks came in...really good 'stuff'...rarely seen...well, by me, that is....:)
