    Scenic shots of the Rhineland, probably filmed during allied occupation after First World War (British until c. 1925; French until c. 1930).

    Opens w/ shot panning round cafe w/ view of mountains (big hills; anyway) through windows. Waitresses in foreground fold serviettes and serve diners. Castle on hill; quite ancient but looks in good condition. Closer shot same.

    Shots of the river; a few boats on it; hills beyond. Vineyard on hillside; workers. Boy carries buckets hanging from yoke on his shoulders up path toward camera. CU teenage boy worker walks through vineyard; w/ metal tank strapped on his back; spraying pesticide. Cu spray coming out as he walks. More shots of both boys.

    More castles on steep hills. Closer shots of ruins of castle. 2 People walk inside walls - shot through arch. Battlements. Village on riverbank; seen from high point. Shots of barges; passenger excursion boats; etc. On river. Another impressive castle; seen between 2 trees in foreground. Zoomed in shot of castle. A few more shots of river.
