RIVER POLICE

London, The river Thames. Two teenage couples in small motorboats driving dangerously. One of the boats swerves to miss a larger passenger boat and the couple fall in the water. A boy on the dockside sees the danger and rushes to call the River Police. WS the Police control room. CU Policemen inside the riverboat. MS the couple struggling in the water holding onto a life ring. Several shots as the police boat pulls along side of the couple and drags them out of the water. CU the boat captain. CU the girl breathing from an air mask. CU the lad as a towel is thrown at him. WS Tower bridge, The River Police boat draws alongside a barge. An officer questions the old man in charge. MS The dome of St Paul's Cathedral. Pan down to the street and a black truck towing a small boat. The same boat being rowed on the river by two policeman. CU a diver on the dockside being helped into the water. MS the diving team making notes. The river water bubbles and the diver emerges holding an object. MS a large ship on the river. A river policeman climbs aboard. A man has fallen into the hold and is unconscious. A stretcher is lowered to his aid. CU policeman on the boat radio. The stretcher is lifted by crane. WS the police boat at dusk. View of old barges in a wharf at dusk. A policeman checks out the scene. A tug boat arrives. It ties rope to a barge and steals away with it. The police have the crew under surveillance. CU a policeman talking into a radio to a police car. The police for the boat and car apprehend the thieves. CU a Union Jack flying on the back of a boat with Tower Bridge in the background.
