I'm sure this is John Moir setting the world record for riveting at Workman and Clark Co shipyard in Belfast on 5th June 1918 (unless it was him recreating the feat for the newsreel cameras). 11209 rivets in 9 hours. Contemporary newspaper reports describe him being carried on the shoulders of his workmates. People were employed to fan him, and he was supplied juice through a rubber tube. He was given a rose bowl and numerous cash rewards.
