Travelling shots of busy shopping street in large town / small city. No clues as to where this might be except that the double-decker buses are blue and white and that quality of light suggests it might be by the sea.
*Amendment February 2012: A visitor to the website has provided some more information. This is Brighton and the shopping centre is Churchill Square.
Up until the 01:02 timepoint, this clip shows a journey up North Street in Brighton. (I've confirmed this by taking a "Virtual" walk up the street on Google maps, many of the buildings remain the same today). After 01:02 it remains unclear exactly where the journey takes us.
The latest this film can possibly have been made is 1973 - at 00:29 we see an old "Essoldo" bingo club, which were all sold off and renamed in 1973.
At 1:02 the view switches to very close by: Travelling east on Western Road (from the bottom of Regent Hill) with the camera facing south. The old Churchill Square shopping centre then becomes visible.
