Title: "Shot into the Air. U.S. Navy Pilot's nervy job in catapult tests".
M/S of an biplane on the bow of battleship at sea, an American flag flies from the prow. The aeroplane is on a 'catapult'; a contraption built onto the battleship that work like a gigantic cross bow, launching aeroplanes into the air. High angled shot of the catapult revolving so that end with the plane on is over the water, panning shot as the plane shoots across the bow of the ship on the catapult and flies towards the coast. M/S of the plane coming off the end of the catapult, panning shot follows the plane into the air.
Note: please see also record for SHOT IN THE AIR (long version) - contains other shots of new types of sea mines being tested and some trick photography.
