Sir Stafford Cripps on holiday in Italy (Lake Garda, Punta, St Vigilio) with Lady Cripps and their daughter.
L/S of Cripps leaving the Hotel St Vigilio. He is given a flower by a little girl; Cripps kisses her hand. Lady Cripps comes out of the hotel and Sir Stafford gives her the flower. She sniffs it. Cripps speaks to Leonard Walsh, the English owner of the hotel, then gets into his car. Lady Cripps and their daughter follow and the car is driven off up a narrow street, followed by two police motorcyclists.

Note: Hotel St. Vigilio is an English managed hotel where many prominent English statesmen, including Winston Churchill, have stayed. Mr Leonard Walsh is an Englishman who owns the hotel, and acts as a bodyguard to these prominent statesman.
