04:30 – “In 1924 Major H.O.D. Segrave carried off the Grand Prix.” He won the 1923 French Grand Prix (at Tours) and the 1924 San Sebastian Grand Prix (at Lasarte, Spain), but this footage shows Segrave at Montlhéry, near Paris (possibly the 1925 French Grand Prix, which he did not finish).
05:50 – Segrave at Southport sands on 21st March 1926. His first land speed record in his 4-litre Sunbeam Tiger “Ladybird” at 152.33 mph.
