    The submarine "Minerve" went missing on 28 January 1968, with 52 crew on board, and has never been found. The shots at the end of this clip showing the sub rising are therefore clearly retrospective.

    Ship seen at 0:58 is the French warship A755 "Lion".

    "bathyscaph" should read bathyscaphe.

    Ship seen at 01:18 is the French destroyer D634 "La Bourdonnais".
