Jan 2011 Amendment: Donn Gobbie of The University of Indiana pointed out that this could be the mens singles match of the 1928 French Championship. The match is played in a smaller stadium since Stade Roland Garros was built in the summer of 1928 but not in time for the tournament that year. Gobbie claims the player at 5:57 is Jack Crawford of Australia, and then the following shot is of Rene Lacoste.

Bill Tilden and Suzanne Lenglen do not appear in the clip. Phoebe Holcroft Watson and Eileen Bennett defeated the French team of Suzanne Deve and Sylvia Lafaurie. The clip may feature this match at the end.
