This is the Dick Kerr's Ladies FC who changed name to Preston Ladies in 1926. It was filmed at Blackpool Lido which was the biggest in europe. The player in white next to the trainer is the famous Lily Parr the first woman footballer in the Hall of Fame. Next to her is a fellow St Helens woman Lizzy Ashcroft (my granny - Dick Kerr's 1923-1936). Lizzy is wearing distictive white sandals and can be seen at the front of the skipping clip. If you look carefully at one point you can see her almost twin Lily Parr sloping off for a woodbine. Lily was a prolific forward and Lizzy was a centre half. Both were from the mining community in St Helens.

This was filmed on Wed 25 November 1931. It poured with rain and was very difficult to film. In 1931 Lily Parr was sharing the Captaincy with Jennie Harris. Lily Buxton had only missed one game in 8 years. She was a Blackpool girl and gave up becoming a Tiller girl.
