    "Down in Mexico stands a 17,000 ft mountain, rejoicing in the name of Mt Ixtlaccihuatl. The natives similarly rejoice when mountaineering enthusiasts ask for assistance - " M/S of group of men riding horses past the camera in a dusty Mexican town. High angle shot of the group riding down a mountainside. C/U of a man strapping metal spikes onto his walking boots for walking on snow. M/S of the group of climbers sitting on the mountainside. There are women climbers as well as men. One man is slapping one of the girls on the leg and she is laughing. L/S of the climbers walking across a snowy landscape. The camera follows them as they walk. High angle of the group on the side of the mountain. Camera tilts up to show the view of the ridge of the mountain.

    "Funny how hard some people work in the name of pleasure! (Every step had to be cut from the treacherous slope.)" We see the group edging up the snowy mountainside using picks. Various shots of the climbers crossing crevices and walking through the snow. "Even our most rabid summit-getters had to pause here to admire the cloud studies..." M/S of the climbers pointing at the view. Camera pans to show mountain tops in cloud. "Then, when we saw the menace of snow clouds - we turned for home - " Various shots of the climbers. "Skirting the middle slopes we pushed on as hard as we could in front of the snow-storm." Panning shot showing clouds moving across snowy landscape. The climbers walk down the snowy slope. "And reached the freer lower slopes - and comparative safety..." View of the tree covered slopes.
