    Aintree Race Course, Liverpool, Merseyside. Shots of horses in parade ring. Large crowds are watching the horses. MS of various horses - their names can just be read on their stable blankets. The jockeys ride their horses out onto the course.

    Intertitle reads: "After breaking the tapes once, they got away to a good start." Different angle of false start. They're off properly on the second go.

    Intertitle reads: "Only slow-motion can adequately reveal the beautiful sight of the huge field taking the first jump." Slow motion film horses at jump. More shots horses out on course.     Great old video, but it is horrific to see the horses down, or with broken back legs. Point to point races are brutal on both horse and rider.
