M/S of numerous men and women walking along and carrying suitcases. They seem to be walking over a station concourse. Various shots of war veterans walking about the battlefields, climbing over the rubble and grassy banks and walking through the trenches. Lots of women of varying ages are seen, some wear the medals of their husbands, sons, or boyfriends. A sign beside one of the fences reads 'German Line / April 9'. The trenches seem to have been reinforced with new sandbags and decking.
