Miss Trefusis Forbes is Katherine Jane Trefusis Forbes who became Air Chief Commandant and the first director of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force from 1939-43. She married Robert Alexander Watson-Watt known for inventing radar and they became Dame and Sir. She set up Bell Meade Kennels after the First World War.
