American film showing the latest fashion in London for painted designs on shoulders.
American Pathe Review story.
A woman reads from the newspaper to a male friend in a domestic setting. Insert of newspaper headline reading "FADS AND FANCIES The Shoulder Painting Is The Very Latest".
The woman bears her shoulder so that her companion can paint a design on her skin. The woman admires the design in a mirror. It could be a Flamingo or another exotic bird. Another, slightly less artistic couple in a less salubrious setting decide to try the new fad. A man paints a floral design on a woman's calf and ankles. C/U of legs and then backs of legs, both featuring designs. The woman with painted legs goes for a walk in a busy London street and turns heads.
Intertitles are very jokey and written in a cockney style.
