Santos Casani and Jose Lennard demonstrate the new Midway Rhythm Dance.
Santos Casani and Jose Lennard - the well known teachers of dancing - demonstrate the new Midway Rhythm Dance.
This is a dance which is slower than the quickstep, but faster than the slow fox-trot. Santos and Jose dance in a drawing room setting - probably in the Pathe Studio. There is a pianist and other couples sit and watch the dance. C/U of their feet as they demonstrate "The Walk". We are then shown an "under the floor shot" as the couple dance on a glass floor. We then see both Santos and Casani dancing on the glass floor from below.
The Right-hand turn is demonstrated. Then the "lift" is shown. We then see the movements shot from under glass. The left pivot turn is shown, then the side drag. The diagonal glide is demonstrated. Instructions in style are given. L/S of the salon setting where four couples dance.
