SV Interior stratocruiser. SV Pan Hugh Williams, Dudley Perkins, Derrick de Marney, Gladys Young and Ian Messiter. MV Engineer at control panel. Camera on left of screen. Transmission to 'plane: Piddington speaking: 'Are you ready for us? Over to the stratocruiser and Gilbert Harding'. SV Engineer at control panel. Transmission from 'plane. 'Yes, we're here... SV Gilbert Harding with air hostess Jean Gordon standing beside him. They explain that Mrs P. has been searched (Pan to Mrs. P). Gilbert Harding says: 'Here we are still rocking about and back to you Sydney in Piccadilly.' SV Engineer at control panel. Piddington speaking: 'And just before we crossed over to the stratocruiser, I asked all of you in the studio here to write something down or to draw a picture to provide something to be used later in this programme. I also asked you to insert those, whatever they may be, in numbered envelopes which were issued to you as you arrived in the studio this evening.' SV Williams collecting envelope. Piddington says; 'And enclosed contents will form the subject to be transmitted to Lesley. Is that all clear?' SV Stephen Grenfell and engineer listening. CU Hand undoing envelopes. CU Hand opening piece of paper with verse on it. CU Mrs P. Voice from studio: 'Will you get Lesley to stand by right now?' Gilbert Harding says: 'Will you stand by please? She is now standing by. MV People around mike. Lesley's voice: 'A bird'. SV Young and Piddington at mike. Lesley's voice: 'One bird... SV Lesley sitting in 'plane concentrating and saying: 'Someone talking. Someone says hullo... CU Engineers listening. Lesley: 'Spirit... SV Mrs P sitting in 'plane saying 'I can't make sense out of it... CU Piddington at mike concentrating. Lesley's voice: 'Oh, it's two lines - birds - hullo - SV Audience. Lesley's voice: 'I've got it. I can guess it'. CU Gladys Young and Hugh Williams. Lesley's voice: 'Hail to thee blithe spirit, Bird thou never wert.' CU Lesley: 'I think that's very nice. In fact, whoever thought of it, hail to thee.' CU Mr Piddington. Young speaking: 'Hail to thee blithe spirit... SV Piddington, Williams and Young standing round mike. Young finishes and Piddington says: 'Thank you'.
