Brief shots of the city of Leningrad. Local citizens help to build a stone wall in a street. Various shots in the Kirov works show men at work in the factory. Factory workers are also members of the Home Guard. They stand in line and march off. Also at Leningrad, we see the ships of the Soviet Baltic Fleet with their huge guns firing. Snow-covered ships engage in gun practice. An enormous gun is fired in a forest area. Several shots of the Polish Army, formed on Russian territory, marching along a snowy road while a military band plays. Some Poles go by on horseback and gun carriers.
Various shots of a group of RAF men from Wing 151 looking at a map in an airfield. Commentator tells us they went to the Arctic Regions of Russia to demonstrate the Hurricane fighter planes to the Russians and then handed planes and equipment over to the Red Air Force. Squadron Leader Rook DFC, who was awarded the Order of Lenin by the Soviet Government for valour in action is seen in the cockpit of his plane, putting on his helmet and taking off. Sergeant-Pilot Howe, also decorated by the Soviet Government, is seen doing same. Aerial shots show bombs landing on snowy ground.
At the Moscow front, we see the Soviet Cavalry "on the trail of the retreating Germans". Dead Germans lie on the snowy ground; guns and tanks lie abandoned in the snow as commentator says "The Fuhrer's dream of a victory parade in Moscow perished with his battered armies". Russian soldier shows off a captured uniform of the Nordland Regiment (Norwegian Nazi Quislings). German helmets on the snow mark the graves of soldiers.
