    01:00:12 - L/S of aerialist Lillian Boyer doing a handstand on the top of an aeroplane then dangling from a rope by her teeth. L/S as the aeroplane loops-the-loop. M/S as a man pedals another 'plane on the ground, it taxis along them collapses in on itself.

    01:00:34 - Opening title - "Time to Remember. A programme to take you back - however young you may be. Recalled by Michael Redgrave."

    01:00:57 - M/S of a man walking along with big square 'beaver' beard, he looks around then carries on his way. C/U of a man's legs wearing 'Oxford Bags' - trousers with very wide bottoms and turn-ups, he walks away.

    01:01:09 - C/U of milk being ladled into a jug from a bucket by the milkman, and left on the doorstep.

    01:01:17 - M/S of a bus driver, M/S of a bus conductor taking money from people on an open top bus.

    01:01:22 - M/S of opening titles for 'Felix the Cat' cartoon. M/S of Felix pacing up and down by a tree.

    01:01:33 - M/S of two men and a lady sat at a table in a nightclub, they laugh and joke, the men are smoking cigarettes. Various shots of nightclub scenes with people having fun.

    01:01:44 - L/S of British troops on the street in Ireland, an armoured car drives past, people stand at the side and watch.

    01:02:01 - Title - "1922. Sitting Still and Going Slowly."

    01:02:06 - L/S of journalists and photographers stood outside the gates to a big house in Doorn, Holland where ex-Kaiser Wilhelm is in exile. The occasion is his wedding. M/S of photographers walking along. They have been told they are not allowed to film the wedding. M/S of them standing beside bushes trying to get a shot of him. L/S of Wilhelm filmed through a fence and behind trees. C/U of a later shot of ex-Kaiser Wilhelm and his wife stood together in the snow.

    01:02:55 - M/S of allied troops parading through the Rhineland. M/S of a group of unemployed men standing together, M/S of two children hugging their mother. Various shots of crowd scenes and a man making a passionate speech about poverty and unemployment in Germany. M/S as a truck full of policemen drive down the street to keep the peace.

    01:03:16 - M/S of fascist march down a street in Rome. King Victor Emmanuel III watches and salutes from balcony. Various shots of black shirts on or near a train. M/S as they draw graffiti on the side. M/S of Benito Mussolini wearing top hat and stood with two other men.

    01:03:59 - M/S of several men on a golf course. Various shots of David Lloyd George trying to teach Astride Briand to play golf, without much success, in Cannes. They clown around and laugh as they play.

    01:04:30 - Good L/S of the Houses of Parliament. L/S of traffic in London.

    01:04:42 - M/S of Sinn Fein delegates after they have arrived in London for peace conference. Arthur Griffith is stood in the middle. M/S of people praying in the streets for conference success.

    01:04:59 - M/S of people in Dublin cheering as cars drive through. L/S of people stood outside Parliament (?) building. M/S of flag of the Irish Free State being raised on the building.

    01:05:11 - M/S of two soldiers saluting. M/S of barriers and barbed wire being dismantled. L/S of British troops leaving Ireland, people shake hands with them and wave them on their way. L/S as the ship begins to sail.

    01:05:40 - M/S of three soldiers of the Irish Free State army with their rifles. C/U of Michael Collins in military uniform. Various scenes of very long queues of people waiting to enlist in the new army.

    01:05:58 - M/S's of new recruits being kitted out. L/S of troops marching along with Irish flag.

    01:06:17 - C/U of Mary MacSwiney and a man chatting together, the story is about her hunger strike in Mountjoy prison. M/S exterior of Mountjoy prison where her sister Annie is on also on hunger strike. Various shots of Annie on a bed looking miserable, she smiles when she sees the camera.

    01:06:50 - L/S of people at Ascot wearing the latest fashions, various shots.

    01:07:07 - C/U of King George V talking to someone off screen, Queen Mary is behind him. L/S of the couple. M/S of Queen Alexandra, widow of Edward VII, chatting to someone on the steps of a house, they are surrounded by beagles.

    01:07:29 - M/S of Princess Mary posing for the cameras, C/U of her talking. M/S of her fiancé Viscount Lascelles on a horse before a hunt, he leans over to speak to a lady. M/S of the hunting party.

    01:07:40 - L/S of a big battleship, C/U profile of Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, on the dock. M/S of him in safari helmet, M/S of him with Prince Hirohito. M/S of him chatting to someone at a hunt. M/S of him getting ready for a game of Polo.
