(Earlier Library footage) Sailors walk along the hull of the M2 submarine as it floats at sea. Closer shot of the conning tower (M 2 sign clearly showing). A small motor launch is berthed alongside the submarine. The launch pulls away from the sub and officers on board salute.

Intertitle reads: "Every resource in the Navy was quickly mobilised, and on the scene in the grim fight against time. (An Aerial View)"

L/S aerial views of two ships at sea (they are searching for the M 2 submarine which has sunk). More shots of different ships involved in the search. Closer aerial pass over one of the searching naval ships.
