    The fifth climber in the team, not currently documented, was Gunther Strobel.

    "Crowd outside hotel" - these scenes take place in Kleine Scheidegg, the small hamlet beneath the Eiger.

    At 01:23, the bearded man with the camera round his neck looks like British mountaineer Chris Bonington, who was filming the climb for the Daily Telegraph. But I'm willing to be proved wrong on that!
